Second fitting of the stays went much better. The back is a little wide at the top, but not enough to warrant another muslin. I'm going to take an inch out of each back piece and it will be fine.

Wow... when I bought that book in St. Augustine, I cringed a little at the price of $40 because I wasn't sure what the going price is on it. The shop owner said he thought it was out of print. This weekend we drove up to visit with David's mom for the Mother's Day weekend. On Saturday, we all went walking around St. Augustine after a yummy lunch and I spied an 18th century textile shop I hadn't seen before. Omg.. I just finished the cutest little dormouse cap ever! If I wasn't so tired I might remember where the camera is located. Oh well, to sleep now and will post pictures later! This cap makes me sort of excited about the silly chemise dress.

It seems like forever since I posted. I guess it is easier to update a facebook status than do an actual post. I'll have to try harder. After all, I feel like LJ chronicles my life somewhat. Facebook doesn't.
